About Me
Welcome - I’m glad you’re here.
If you’ve found yourself on this page, you might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of space to pause and reconnect with yourself. Reaching out can feel like a big step — and it is. But it’s also an important act of care, and one you don’t have to take alone.
I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. My role is to walk alongside you as we make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface — not just the symptoms, but the story behind them.
My Approach
I believe therapy should feel collaborative, supportive, and grounded in what matters most to you.
As a fully accredited Senior Cognitive Behavioural and EMDR Psychotherapist, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
Mindfulness-Based CBT (MBCT)
CBT-E for eating-related difficulties
This integrative way of working means our sessions are tailored to your individual needs — whether you’re working through trauma, anxiety, low self-worth, or navigating life transitions. Together, we create a therapeutic space that honours your pace, values, and strengths.
My Background
Before becoming a therapist, I completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work, working in a range of settings with individuals and families facing complex emotional and psychological challenges.
My specialist focus was supporting people affected by sexual violence and exploitation — work that shaped my deep commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive care. These early experiences gave me a lifelong understanding of how trauma, attachment, and systemic issues affect mental health across the lifespan.
I’ve since worked for over a decade in the NHS and third-sector services, supporting people across all walks of life. This has given me a broad, compassionate lens on the challenges people face — and the courage it takes to begin healing.
What You Can Expect
In our work together, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface with care and curiosity. I’ll support you in understanding the roots of emotional patterns, offering practical tools alongside meaningful insight.
I bring a bio-psycho-social perspective to therapy — recognising how your thoughts, emotions, physical wellbeing, relationships, past experiences, and environment all shape your mental health.
I have particular experience in supporting people with:
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Health anxiety and OCD
Phobias and general anxiety
Body image and disordered eating
Emotional regulation and overwhelm
Relationship difficulties and longstanding patterns
Inclusive, Affirming Therapy
As someone committed to inclusive and affirming practice, I understand how cultural identity, background, and intergenerational experiences shape how we understand and express emotional distress. Therapy should feel like a space where all parts of you — including those that may have been unseen or unheard — are welcomed.
Let’s Begin
