Reflective Clinical Supervision

Alongside my therapy practice, I offer reflective clinical supervision for qualified therapists working with adults in private or mixed practice.

This supervision provides a contained, impartial space to step back and think about your clinical work and professional role. It is intended for therapists who value reflection, ethical awareness, and thoughtful discussion rather than directive or accreditation-focused supervision.

The value of reflective supervision

Clinical work can be complex, isolating at times, and emotionally demanding. Supervision offers a dedicated space to reflect on this work, consider different perspectives, and make sense of challenges as they arise.

Reflective clinical supervision can support therapists to:

  • think more clearly about their work

  • feel less alone in clinical decision-making

  • maintain ethical awareness and professional responsibility

  • attend to the impact of the work on themselves

  • support sustainability over time

The emphasis is on reflection and understanding, rather than instruction or performance.

My background

Alongside my work as a therapist, my professional background includes:

  • Acting as an informal source of clinical consultation within NHS psychological services, where colleagues regularly discussed cases with me for support with formulation, ethical decision-making, and complexity

  • Facilitating group supervision and reflective practice for Step 2 and Step 3 clinicians within group therapy contexts

  • Working previously as a consultant on developmental trauma, abuse, sexual violence, and exploitation, advising professionals across several London boroughs and later in Brighton

  • Ongoing peer supervision with another qualified CBT therapist as part of my professional governance

  • Completed supervision training

My approach to supervision is reflective, collaborative, and grounded in responsibility, safeguarding awareness, and sustainability in clinical practice.

How supervision supports your practice

Supervision sessions may include:

  • reflecting on clinical work and formulation

  • thinking through clinical decisions and interventions

  • exploring ethical questions and professional responsibility

  • considering boundaries, risk, and safeguarding

  • reflecting on the emotional impact of the work and maintaining sustainability

The focus is on supporting clarity and confidence in your work, rather than managing or directing it.

Scope of this supervision

This supervision is offered as reflective clinical supervision. It is intended to support qualified therapists who are looking for a thoughtful, contained supervisory space alongside their clinical work.

It is not designed to provide accreditation sign-off, modality-specific supervision (such as EMDR), or crisis or on-call supervisory support. An initial conversation can help clarify whether this supervision would be a good fit for you.
